How to remove stubborn and different types of stains on hotel linen? The following methods will help.
Sweat stain
If it is a new sweat stain, soak linen in water immediately. Then rub it with soap and detergent, and rinse off with water. General enzymatic laundry detergents are also useful for cleaning up sweat stains. If it is old sweat stains, the removal method is more complicated. The linen can be washed with 1% ammonia water (with 40℃-50℃water temperature) and washed with 1% oxalic acid solution (or lemon juice solution. Then wash with washing powder, and finally rinse with warm water at 30℃.
Blood stain
Use cold water to wash and never use hot water. General enzyme-added laundry detergents and stain removers are effective to remove ordinary blood stains. Old blood stains can be washed with lemon juice and salt water. For stubborn blood stains, wipe with a mixture of borax, 10% concentrated ammonia water and water (2:1:20). For white linen with blood stain, adding a certain amount of bleach can also remove the stain.
Oil stain
Heavy oil stains may require dry cleaning. Small oil spots and newer oil stains can be pre-treated with oil stain remover or laundry detergent before the linen is soaked in water. Then brush off after 5 minutes and wash with regular process.
Mildew
Use a brush to gently brush the mildew spots, then apply laundry soap to the stains and scrub off. Wipe stubborn mildew with alcohol, and then use an enzyme-containing detergent to clean. Use a bleach liquid or a color bleaching liquid to soak the partial mildew spots for linens of different colors, and then perform regular washing.
Rust
Soak and wash the rusted linen in oxalic acid solution. Then wash it with laundry powder or liquid to remove the rust. In addition, the effect of washing in warm water at 40°C-60°C is more significant.
Tea and coffee stains
The specific washing method should be formulated according to the color of the linen. White cotton fabrics can be washed with bleach and laundry detergent to remove stains. For colored fabrics, use color bleaching liquid and laundry detergent to wash together. For stubborn stains, soak in detergent before washing. After soaking for about 15-20 minutes, wash with regular process.
Lipstick stain
Use a brush to remove remaining lipstick from the surface of the linen, then rinse the stain with cold water to thin the stain. Soak the clothes in laundry detergent powder or liquid for 20 minutes and start washing. For stubborn lipstick stains, use a small brush dipped in gasoline to brush lightly. For serious cases, it can be soaked in gasoline and then washed with laundry detergent.
