In 2021, the China Laundry Products Industry Association issued a "Proposal on Boycotting the Production and Sales of Inferior Detergents" (hereinafter referred to as the "Proposal").
The "Proposal" mentioned that since 2021, some companies and manufacturers have sold a large number of low-quality, low-cost, fake and inferior laundry liquid detergents, laundry beads, laundry powder detergent and other products through new sales models such as "live broadcast" and "community group purchases." This approach seriously violates the national high-quality development strategy and the law of market development. It destroys the production and operation order of the industry and damages the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.
In response to the above situation, the China Laundry Products Industry Association has put forward five major initiatives, and stated that it will resolutely stop and combat market chaos. For example, strengthen production management, consciously implement industry standards for liquid and powder washing or higher than industry standards, strictly prevent and control counterfeit and fake products, etc., trying to resolutely curb industry chaos from multiple forces.
At present, some small workshops and informal enterprises in China will use various platforms to package. Thy use other people's photos, videos, certificates and other public network methods on line to gain customer trust and attract some consumers. The fact is that the ingredients added to the products produced by such factories are not clear, and the decontamination ability cannot be guaranteed. It may also cause problems such as fading and damage to the clothes.

- pH value
The pH value is an important indicator to measure laundry powder detergent. Currently common detergents are generally weakly alkaline. A reasonable range of pH value is roughly between 7.0 and 10.5. Clothes washed with detergents with a high pH value will damage the skin, causing redness, itching, roughness, and even blisters and sloughing.
- Free alkali value
Since the stains on the clothes are generally acidic, common detergents, especially solid detergent products such as washing powder, laundry soap, etc., usually add a certain amount of alkaline substances to achieve the decontamination effect. However, the high content of free alkali in the detergent will damage the clothes and greatly shorten the service life of the fabrics. At the same time, the free alkali remaining in the clothing will not only damage the skin, but also affect the human immune system and blood system, endangering health and safety. And the strong alkaline washing wastewater is also very destructive to the environment.
- Total active content
The total active substance is the "soul" of the laundry powder detergent, which refers to the sum of all kinds of surfactants in the detergent that produce the decontamination effect. This is an important indicator that affects the decontamination effect of detergents. Generally speaking, the higher the total active content, the stronger the detergency of the detergent and the better the washing effect.
- Apparent density
Apparent density is an important indicator mainly used to measure the apparent properties of laundry powder detergent. The greater the apparent density, the heavier the same volume of washing powder, which contains more washing substances and is more "concentrated". For the same amount of washing powder, washing powder with high apparent density often has several times the decontamination effect of washing powder with low apparent density.
