In the summer of 2021, a heavy rainstorm broke the summer calm in Henan and connected the hearts of Chinese people again. Since July 16, according to preliminary statistics, this round of heavy rainfall caused the province's 150 counties (cities, districts),1616 towns and townships 13,912,800 people affected. The disaster killed 99 people and there are still missing people under further verification.930,300 people have been relocated in emergency (1,470,800 people have been relocated in total). The affected area of crops is 1048. 5 thousand hectares and the disaster area is 527.3 thousand hectares.
18,800 houses collapsed, 46,400 houses were seriously damaged and 135,400 houses were generally damaged, resulting in a direct economic loss of 90.981 billion yuan. Since the disaster, organizations and people from all areas have lent a helping hand and enthusiastically donated money and materials to help Henan.
At the end of July 2020, Skylark Chemical also suffered a major flood in Guanghan, Sichuan. 90% of our goods and machinery were submerged with a total loss of nearly RMB 3 million. So, we are well aware of the hardships faced by this flood.
On July 28, two trucks carrying supplies under the gaze of company leaders and employees began their journey to Henan at Guanghan Logistics Distribution Center. We prepared supplies worth 100,000 yuan, including 1,000 cases of mineral water, 1,000 cases of instant noodles, 1,000 cases of biscuits, 1,000 cases of bread, 500 raincoats and 500 pairs of rain boots. Meanwhile, we donated 100,000 yuan to Henan in the name of all the employees of Skylark Chemical. All employees are concerned about the disaster and we tried our best to help the people in Henan, although we couldn't be there personally.
“When disaster struck, help came from all sides”. People around always hung together when one of us was in trouble. We hope that everyone in Henan can overcome the disaster with expectations and the disaster will end as soon as possible. Skylark Chemical also believes that Henan will certainly get better quickly under the help of the Communist Party of China and the protection of the great motherland.
