On March 15th, 2022, ZTO Express and Szechuan Skylark Chemical Co., Ltd. formally established a long-term cooperative relationship.
ZTO Express was founded on May 8th, 2002. It is a comprehensive logistics service enterprise with express delivery as its core business, integrating cross-border, express, commercial, cloud warehouse, aviation, finance, intelligence, media, cold chain other ecological sectors. It was listed on the New York Stock Exchange in the United States on October 27th, 2016, opening a window to the world to understand the development of China's express delivery.
On September 29th, 2020, it achieved a secondary listing in Hong Kong, becoming the first express delivery company to be listed in the United States and Hong Kong, China at the same time. In 2020, ZTO Express's annual business volume exceeded 17 billion pieces, a year-on-year increase of over 40%. As of June 30, 2021, there are nearly 30,100+ service outlets, 96 transit centers, more than 5,450+ direct network partners, more than 10,300 trunk line transportation vehicles (of which over 8,150 were high-capacity drop trailers), and about 3,600 trunk line transportation lines.
ZTO Express has successively set up transit warehouses in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, the United States, France, Germany, Japan and South Korea, New Zealand, Dubai, Malaysia and other places. At the same time, it launched the European Union special line, the United States special line, the Japan and South Korea special line, the New Australia special line, the ASEAN special line, the Middle East special line, the African special line and the special lines of other countries in the world.
The total planned investment is 10 million RMB. ZTO Express will use 3 million RMB as an initial investment to set up a blow molding production department with Skylark Chemical in Zigong, Sezchuan factory to focus on PE bottle production. It is estimated that the total filling volume in the early stage is 180 tons of laundry detergent per day, and the monthly output is 5,400 tons. At the same time, the output will be expanded at a growth rate of 10%-15% every month, and the total estimated annual output will expand to 190,000 tons of laundry detergent.
The purpose of this cooperation is to expand the influence of the daily chemical brand of the subsidiary of ZTO Express in Szechuan and its ability to respond quickly to the market. We will adopt the model of “one province and one factory” to reduce production costs and bring benefits to thousands of households in Szechuan.
Szechuan Skylark Chemical Co., Ltd. will continue to deepen our production and supply chain capabilities, and strive to be the first in terms of comprehensive production capacity in Southwest China within 3 years.
